Inhiben la formaci\u00f3n de trihalometanos (thms) cancer\u00edgenos causados por la interacci\u00f3n del cloro con materiales vegetales org\u00e1nicos.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>El carb\u00f3n catal\u00edtico no est\u00e1 impregnado de productos qu\u00edmicos c\u00e1usticos<\/strong><br>Dado que los carbones catal\u00edticos no est\u00e1n impregnados, no tendr\u00e1 que preocuparse por la disminuci\u00f3n de su capacidad para olores org\u00e1nicos ni por el mayor potencial de incendio del lecho que presentan los carbones impregnados.&nbsp;<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">El carb\u00f3n catal\u00edtico se crea alterando la estructura superficial del carb\u00f3n activado. Se modifica mediante un tratamiento con gas a altas temperaturas para cambiar la estructura electr\u00f3nica y crear el m\u00e1ximo nivel de actividad catal\u00edtica en el carb\u00f3n con el fin de reducir la cloramina y el H2S en el agua. Esta funcionalidad catal\u00edtica a\u00f1adida es mucho mayor que la que se encuentra en los carbones activados tradicionales.
